The Maxon AD999 is the most ambitious and practical analog delay pedal to come along in a very long time. A few years back the hopes of analog lovers the world over were dashed when Panasonic closed their BBD production line for good. Rather than giving in to the digital wave, Maxon took the opposite approach and had BBDs manufactured exclusively for them!
Each AD999 comes loaded with eight Maxon MN3107D BBDs for a total of 900ms of pure, rich, organic analog delay. Standard Delay Time, Delay Level, and Feedback controls combine with wet/dry outputs for a variety of sounds and signal routing options. Switching is handled by a 4PDT mechanical switch for transparent, noise-free operation in bypass and the unit runs off 9V DC for easier integration into players’ pedalboards. When you’re ready for the ultimate analog experience, the Maxon AD999 is the only serious choice in an otherwise digital world!

Awesome echo effects without tape hassles!
The Danelectro Reel Echo Tape Simulator Pedal reproduces the sound of those ’50s tape echo units perfectly and it will hold up a lot longer than they will. The Reel Echo from Dano simulates the sound perfectly and adds a Warble switch to replicate tape pitch deviations. A lo-fi control rolls off high frequencies of successive repeats just like tape while a Tube/Solid State toggle lets you pick your vintage. The Akai E2 Headrush Delay/Looper Pedal picks up where the award-winning E1 left off. This stompbox brings together 16-bit digital delay with times from 0.5ms to an astonishing 35 seconds, tape echo simulations with 4 separate heads, and a looping recorder in one convenient effects pedal.
In addition to offering digital and analog-type delay sounds, user-selectable delay options allow for maximum control of signal output. There are several realtime interval and level adjustment selections as well as feedback level for repeats.
Headrush can also simulate a 4-head analog tape echo machine and it is possible to set the spacing between the virtual heads to create complex multiple delays and repeats. The outputs of each of the virtual heads appear on individual outputs for ultimate flexibility when used with an external mixing console.
The looping mode allows you to record and overdub layer after layer of sound in real time making Headrush an unbelievable live performance tool.
Depending upon which mode is selected, the left switch controls the on/off and play/stop functions while the right switch sets the tap delay time or recording and overdub options. The LED display indicates which effect is in use and blinks in time showing the delay time selected.
